A trend at this year’s NeoCon in Chicago’s The Mart was bringing the comfort of home into commercial spaces as design professionals continue to explore occupant- and user-oriented areas and products. ARCHITECT has put together a selection of textiles that provide the endurance needed for public areas, as well as deliver the warmth and coziness of a home.

Jet Set, Pallas Textiles
An homage to midcentury designers like Eero Saarinen and George Nelson, this chenille and satin fabric makes use of a retro wave pattern throughout. The mod-inspired upholstery is capable of withstanding up to 60,000 double rubs on the Wyzenbeek scale, and is treated with a high performance nanotechnology treatment called Alta for additional resilience against stains and ware.
