Michael Laessle began his career in sales for Ben Rose Textiles more than 20 years ago in Minneapolis. Laessle’s success in that market motivated Ben Rose to send him to New York City to reawaken that lucrative market as well as act as Eastern Regional Sales Manager. Laessle looks at those years as invaluable, learning “street smarts” as well as technical knowledge in weaving and printing.

Laessle then accepted an opportunity to join VESCOM--a high-end Dutch fabric and vinyl wallcoverings manufacturer, where he served as Marketing Director for the company’s North American operations based in New York. With VESCOM, he had the opportunity to travel and work in the interiors’ product market throughout the US, Canada and Europe.

In 1992, Laessle joined Knoll Textiles as Director of Marketing at Knoll’s creative headquarters in New York’s SoHo, and soon after became Vice President of Marketing and Design, where he was integral in successfully reorganizing the company’s textile division and its vision.

Now after a peaceful retirement back in Minneapolis, Laessle is again connected with the industry he loves with the design of the Pallas® Resumé Collection® for Business. 100% of his royalties for this collection go directly to the Michael D. Laessle Foundation for AIDS Care.
