KI AND PALLAS TEXTILES STEP UP WITH DONATION OF SHOES FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN NEED

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 30, 2010

GREEN BAY, WIS.
KI and Pallas Textiles recently collected and donated nearly 500 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls—a charity that distributes donated shoes free of charge to people in need worldwide. The collection was made possible by the generosity of numerous architectural and design firms from across the country.

“Giving back to the community has always been a staple of who we are—as a company and as individuals,” said Brian Krenke, executive vice president of sales and marketing, KI. “The collection and donation of shoes for Soles4Souls is testament to the generosity of our employees and the entire architecture and design community. We applaud them for stepping up in a big way to help children and families in dire need both here and around the world.”

Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based charity that collects shoes from the warehouses of footwear companies and the closets of ordinary people. The charity distributes these shoes free of charge to people in need.

Since 2005, Soles4Souls has given away more than seven million pairs of new and gently worn shoes (currently donating one pair every 9 seconds). The shoes have been distributed to people in over 125 countries, including Kenya, Thailand, Nepal and the United States.
